Commissioned by the Loke family, this was the first time the full history was researched, documented, and told with authority — tracing Yee Sang's millennia-old origins, its evolution by the Loke patriarch in Seremban, and its significance as one of Malaysia's most beloved Chinese New Year traditions.

The book was adapted into digital content that became one of the most viral pieces in Malaysia. It has since become the authoritative narrative behind almost all subsequent content written about Chinese New Year Yee Sang, permanently embedding how Malaysians understand this tradition. The narrative is so prevalent that it is referenced in Wikipedia and dominant in AI search responses.
